S
-Martin Luther King Jr. fought for African American civil rights during the mid 1900s, and he was assassinated on 1968.
-In 1965 African Americans gained the right to vote due to the Civil Rights Movement in 1970.
-In 1920 the 19th amendment was passed and Women gained to right to vote.
-There is little to no segregation between whites and blacks anymore in America, while in some places prejudice does still exist it has gone significantly down everywhere else. Also we now have an African American president which was unthinkable in the early 1900s.
-There is still some gender inequalities presently, especially in the work place. Women still get paid and aren’t presented with as many opportunities because of their gender.
-The main civil movement in the 21st century is Marriage Equality, whether gay marriage should be legal or not.
I
-The invention of the internet, smart phones, and computers have all drastically changed the way the way the world interacts with one another.
A
-Modern art is extremely simplistic, bright colors and zero realism and detail are all central concepts of modern art.
-in the 1900s brick houses and houses with pillars and porches in the front were popular
- In present day clean lines, rounded walls, floor to ceiling windows covering entire walls, and stark and clean interiors are “in”.
N:
